About Us

Consortium of Health Association of India

Consortium of Health Association of India (c-HAI) is a non-profit organisation established in the year 2019. c-HAI focuses on prompting health in the southern states of India - Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana and Kerala.

Our objective is to achieve all 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) through partnership with same vision and mission CSOs who are working for unreached communities in the 5 southern states.

Our Programs

Promoting health

In basic terms, health awareness is the knowledge regarding one’s health. It can be described as the awareness of various health problems, symptoms and treatment options. "Health for All" is the main motto of c-HAI. We create awareness about health through various initiatives such as:

- Awareness on tobacco consumption

- Menstrual health management for the tribal communities

- Promoting lifestyle change and disease management

Menstrual Hygiene Management Program

We commit to building programmes that increase confidence, knowledge, and skills – and improve access to materials and facilities – for adolescent girls, women, transgender and non-binary individuals to manage their menstruation safely and with dignity.


We work in four key areas for improved menstrual health and hygiene:

  1. Social support
  2. Knowledge and skills
  3. Facilities and services
  4. Access to absorbent materials and supportive supplies

Puducherry People with Disabilities Sangamam 2023

In Puducherry EnAble India, Partner NGOs collaboration with Social Welfare Department and People with Disabilities organised Matruthiranalikal Sangamam 2023 . There was 750 PwDs and their care takers participated in the event. There was 17 stalls starts from Early Intervention to Marriage free legal aid support assistive devices. Department and DPOs witnessed it was first time in Puducherry such a event was organised in one roof of all services to PwDs. In the event Tamil version of RPwD Act 2016 released by the Secretary and Enable India Team. Thanks to entire team for active energetic and enthusiastic participation with Kural namadhe.

cHAI Secretary met the Chief Minister Sri.N.Rangasamy to create a State Resource Center

On 06/02/2023 Monday  around 03.00 pm IRDRP  along with ENABLE INDIA,  Bangalore, cHAI, & Indian  Red Cross Society,  team met our Honorable Chief Minister of Puducherry Sri. N. Rangasamy,  at his Chamber and  discussed the possibility to initiate the State Resource Center for People with Disabilities in the Union Territory of Puducherry State to improve the livelihood opportunities for them.

Our Hon. Chief Minister  also agreed to give the space for this purpose. In this meeting Chairman Dr.Lakshmipathy, Indian Red Cross Society, Puducherry Branch, Sri. Irudayasamy, Mr.Ranjeet Kumar, From ENABLE INDIA, Bangalore Mr. Antony Helenraj, & Murali Kumar and Aldrin attended the meeting. Our Hon. CM. also immediately  accepted and assured to support the Program.

Annual Convention, 2022

Consortium of Health Associations in India conducted it's Annual Convention 2022, Theme "welfare of NGOs" at Trichy on 8th December 2022. There were 100 Members and new members  participated in the convention. We invited Mr. Vinoth, STARTUPTN, Regional Head, Mr. Neranjan, Agriculture Officer AGMARK, Mr. Vimal, EnAble India were Guest speakers. Ms  Shoba Arun and Ms. Pooja from 1NGO also participated to facilitate NGOs to have a website. Board members Dr. Irudayasamy, Dr. Regina and Ms. Dharani shared the 3 years activities and accounts. President Mrs. Soulina Arnold greeted the members over phone. At the end there was a conclusion of a Need of Welfare Board for NGOs and framed few demands. Dr Sunderasan, CEO expressed vote of thanks. Zonal level Steering Committee was also formed.

CSO conference

After COVID 19 lock down many CSOs suffered in raising funds. Hence, we organised NGO management and resource mobilization workshop for them. We invited Governor of Telangana and Lt Governor of Puducherry for inaugural function. Local MLA Mr. Kalyanasundaram, Kalapet constituency also came for the conference and encouraged our NGOs. 115 NGOs participated in the program.

We are now working for creating of Welfare Board for social workers and NGOs workers in the Puducherry and Tamilnadu. We launched this advocacy on 3rd Nov 2022, and presented memorandum and demands to Governor Dr.(Smt) Tamiliasi Soundarajan and Chief Minister Sri. N.Rangasamy in his office. We are progressing in these activities by sensitization of CSOs and staff on demands and welfare board for social workers. Before the Assembly financial budget meeting we will submit the demands and memorandum to both states Ministers and Governors.

Menstrual hygiene management awareness program

We organised menstrual hygiene management awareness program in Karur with the collaboration of Lions Club of Karur  on 26th November 2020 and 9th December 2020. Sr. Shanthy and Sr.Roseline Mary  came as Resource person and spoke on menstrual hygiene and present practice of menstrual period. Few participants shared that they still use the old clothes for the period. We distributed free Napkins to all participants.

Pre-training quiz on Corona

Covid-19 affects different people in different ways. Most people will develop different symptoms. To know more about the symptoms of Covid-19, a pre training quiz was organised by c-HAI team on 23/07/2020.

Launching of Green cigarettes

Smoking causes cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung diseases, diabetes, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Smoking also increases risk for tuberculosis, certain eye diseases, and problems of the immune system, including rheumatoid arthritis. To create awareness on this, c-HAI organised a program and also launched green cigarettes.
